High Tea on the Harbour at Q Dining, Pullman Quay Grand.

[invite] Bianca: We have a weakness for high tea’s here at For Food’s Sake. There’s just nothing better than petite-sized mouthfuls and a glass or two of sparkling.  We visited Q DINING back in June and thoroughly enjoyed the a la carte menu.

You have two options, $55 pp includes a selection of teas or $65 which includes a glass of sparkling and teas. Joined by pal G, we bypassed the teas for a glass of Veuve and coffees.

Soy Cappucino

Starting with the savouries. A selection of focaccias and sandwiches were presented. My favourites were the Egg Salad on white toast w/ avruga caviar and the Smoked Salmon mousse -w/  cucumber on rye. Whilst everything was tasty it was fairly bready, a delicate tart would have been nice to add some variety.

Scones for me are always the highlight and the ones presented here were delicious! Served alongside strawberry jam and whipped mascarpone vanilla cream.

And finally to finish. The sweeties! A mini chocolate eclair, raspberry dark chocolate slice, creme brulee, mini pavlova & a selection of macaroons.

  1. It’s cool to see a more rustic take on High Tea, especially those sandwiches. They look so good. Good to see a hotel mixing it up. It’s been a while between high teas, this looks a good candidate!
