Eros, Potts Point

This one is long overdue. Eros in Sydney’s Potts Point offers typical Greek cuisine and transports you to Mykonos in the Mediterranean Sea, granted it was via the Westconnex 🙂

Situated in the old Crane Bar site, Eros has been beautifully fit-out with concrete booth seats and a neutral cream colour scheme.

Joining me was the hubby, who deserved a well-deserved break after a big day fixing car dents over at Action PDR.

The menu offers Greek share plates and for those wanting to go big on the food, Eros later turns into a nightclub, so you can burn off all those extra calories.

Starting with the Spanakopita Flutes $17, which is everything we love about spanakopita. Crispy filo pastry filled with a creamy cheesy filling.

Chargrilled Haloumi $22 was always guaranteed to be on our hitlist.

The Fried Squid $22 with fresh chilli and parsley was a wonderful combination of tender squid and a crispy batter.

A great little starter the Mezze $39 with a mixture of dips, pita bread and a Mediterranean salad.

The Kreata $44 is a fabulous sharing dish, with a combo of chicken, lamb, kofta skewers, pita, fries and salad.

The only dessert on the menu is the Grecian donuts $17. If you’re going to offer only one dessert, please make it a good one… I love donuts but these were so underwhelming. In my opinion, they could do with a bit of reworking.

All in all a great dining experience, the food is on the pricier side but it’s expected in the area.

For Food’s Sake dined as guests of Eros but all opinions remain our own.
